She graduated from the Fine Arts program at the Los<\/p>\n<!-- \/wp:paragraph -->\n\n<!-- wp:paragraph -->\n<p>Andes University in 1991 with distinction. In 1996 she went to Paris for more extensive training in artistic<\/p>\n<!-- \/wp:paragraph -->\n\n<!-- wp:paragraph -->\n<p>expression through computers in the Atellier Miguel Chevallier.<\/p>\n<!-- \/wp:paragraph -->\n\n<!-- wp:paragraph -->\n<p>Upon her return to Bogota she won several awards. Among these are \u201c<a href=\"http:\/\/www.museonacional.gov.co\/coleccion_bbva1.html\">the national painting award organized by BBVA, one of Colombias largest banks<\/a>&nbsp;and the prestigious national \u201dPorvenir Painting Award\u201d.<\/p>\n<!-- \/wp:paragraph -->\n\n<!-- wp:paragraph -->\n<p>Carolina uses oil and acrylic on canvas. Part of the creative process is working with images on the<\/p>\n<!-- \/wp:paragraph -->\n\n<!-- wp:paragraph -->\n<p>computer which she uses for sketching and as a starting point for her paintings. From these sketches, she &nbsp;paints with oil and acrylic on canvas creating a new relationship between humans and nature where colour &nbsp;&nbsp;transforms every source of reality and the joy of esthetic remains alive. &nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;<\/p>\n<!-- \/wp:paragraph -->\n\n<!-- wp:paragraph -->\n<p>Carolina has important works in corporate and private art collections in Colombia, Canada, United States, France, Germany and Brazil.
